Rizhong Lin was born in Guilin, China, in 2001. He is currently pursuing a Master's in Data Science at EPFL, where he serves as an EPFL IC MS Research Scholar at the Laboratory for Intelligent Global Health and Humanitarian Response Technologies (LiGHT). In this role, he develops AI-powered diagnostic tools, including lung auscultation systems, in collaboration with industry partner Onescope.

Rizhong completed his Bachelor's thesis jointly at the Medical Image Analysis Laboratory (MIAL) of the Radiology Department at the Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) and the Signal Processing Laboratory (LTS5) of EPFL, where he worked on deep learning algorithms for white matter fiber mapping and domain adaptation strategies in the context of pediatric brain development.

Rizhong holds a Bachelor's in Computer Science from Tongji University in Shanghai, China, where he was awarded the China National Scholarship for academic excellence and graduated with the distinction of Shanghai Outstanding Graduate.
